摘要
WestFocus have developed a series of Video Games, based oil Serious Gaining technology, to assist in the teaching of Entrepreneurial / Enterprise principles for 12 year olds and above. The series, called "The Apprentice Entrepreneur", has 2 titles Currently available, both dealing with the setting up and running of a business (Simulation) for LIP to 1 year (in accelerated time). The first game available, E-trader, concerns the creation and running of an Internet-based retail company. The second game, DJ Life, is about establishing and operating a mobile DJ business (complete with music loops). Both Games were designed to illustrate typical real life problems and Entrepreneurial issues, faced when setting up a new business. The paper examines the rationale for the games structure, and the academic / business lessons learnt through playing the games.
