摘要
The new techno-social environment that is overflowing with video games is producing great changes in relation to knowledge transfer and teaching and learning experiences. Our research is concerned with mathematical competence for working with alphanumeric tables and bar charts, and is driven by two reasons. On the one hand, because it is a competence that is present in many of the currently existing video games, which helps in repeating and generalising it and due to its connection to other competences on the Primary Education curriculum (information processing, digital competence, linguistic competence, social and civic competence, the ability to learn to learn, and personal initiative and independence). The research question has been: Does the use of the video game "Pokemon Diamond" in fourth grade Primary School classrooms, help students to acquire competence to work with alphanumeric tables and bar charts?
