Yield optimization design procedure of MMIC transimpedance amplifiers for multigigabit optical receivers

摘要
In this paper, we present a new design methodology for transimpedance amplifiers which allows us to improve the yield of art optical receiver by reducing its sensitivity to the photodiode and interconnection line parameters. The proposed methodology does not require statistical analyses, and can be implemented easily in a microwave simulator. According to this approach, a transimpedance amplifer for a 10 Gbit/s optical receiver has been designed. Experimental results are reported, which show the obtained high robustness of the design.
