摘要
The standard potentials of the redox electrodes ''dissolved atomic mercury/dissolved mercury ions'' are calculated to be E(0)(Hg-0/Hg2+) = 0.661V (vs. SHE) and E(0)(Hg-0/Hg-2(2+)) = 0.410V (vs. SHE). The standard potential of the electrode ''metallic mercury/dissolved mercury ions'' E(0)(Hg/Hg2+) = 0.8535V (vs. SHE) is the formal potential of the electrode ''dissolved atomic mercury/dissolved mercury ions'' at potentials E(0)(Hg-0/Hg2+) and E(0)(Hg-0/Hg-2(2+)) have to be used or the relation between them and E(0)(Hg/Hg2+) and E(0)(Hg/Hg-2(2+)) has to be taken into account.
