摘要
Productivity is one of the key factors that have great impact on sustainability and competitiveness of both individual enterprises and industrial sectors in a region and/or country in textile and clothing (TC) industries. Productivity change is an important aspect which affects the economic growth of a country. To strengthen the sustainability of Hong Kong TC industry, there is a need to identify the factors influencing the productivity behavior and capacity of the enterprises in the region. This paper reports a study on what factors affect the productivity behavior of textile and clothing enterprises in Hong Kong using technometric approach. On the basis of the 5 key indicators i.e. innovation, productivity, flexibility, quality and skill, we applied statistical analysis to identify the key factors in each indicator, and then investigate the relationships between productivity key factors and other key factors from the rest four indicators. Further multiple regression analysis is applied to identify the factors that have significant impact on the productivity capacity of TC enterprises in Hong Kong.
