Results are presented of a theoretical and experimental study of the recording of pseudodeep holograms. A mathematical model is proposed for the diffraction of light by a pseudodeep hologram structure. An experimental confirmation of the theory has been presented in Pis'ma v Zhurnal Technicheskoi Fiziki [Tech. Phys. Lett.]. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
