摘要
An ultra-wideband and wide scanning tightly coupled array employing a Metamaterial absorber is introduced.The Metamaterial absorber suppresses destructive ground plane interference,resulting in the bandwidth of the array increased and the using of a wideband balun makes bandwidth futher expanded. In this paper, conventional impedance FSS and lumped resistance FSS absorber are replaced by Metamaterial,witch makes the design and fabrication of antenna array much easier.The simulation results show that,by tuning parameters such as the sizes of Metamaterial and antenna,the bandwidth range of the antenna reaches 14:1(1.72GHz-24.2GHz) when the VSWR < 3.5,and the scanning angle of E-plane and H-plane reaches +/- 45 degrees.
