Electron capture in collisions of He2+ ions with atomic and molecular oxygen

摘要
A crossed beam technique incorporating time-of-flight analysis and coincidence counting of the collision products has been used to measure cross sections for O+,O-2(+) and O2+ formation by electron capture in collisions of 5-7 ke V amu(-1) He2+ ions with ground state O atoms and O-2 molecules for the first time.
