摘要：
The security environment in the 21(st) century is characterized by substantial transformations that require adaptation of the classic analysis criteria of the international security. The new security challenges generated by the overlapping of some phenomena as globalization and fragmentation are added to some classic forms of regional risks and vulnerabilities. Traditional hotbeds of tension are maintained, but their way of development is intrinsically influenced by the emergence of some unconventional and cross-border risks such as terrorism, organized crime and proliferation of mass destruction.
