摘要
Humanity always had a need for information and as consequence, humans always tried to obtain, control, preserve and use it by specific means and methods of the time. Considering the fact that we live in an information era, as part of a globalised society, the information became the main resource for any activity; information technology and communication became basic technologies and the information environment together with social and ecological ones, became natural environment for humans. Confronted with a rising degree of complexity and unpredictability of threats (which are more and more often classified as asymmetric ones), decision makers - military and civilians - from security area, are called to give answers. States, in order to satisfy national security interests, and further more as members of international organizations, had to develop new strategies and policies. Part of activities of the states and international organizations, to which they are members, are based on classified information. Thereby, the new strategies and policies regard as well the protection of classified information, and especially classified information in electronic form. The present paper intend to explain and to rise awareness of the importance of IT and communication systems protection, and especially of classified information in electronic form, in other words the importance of INFOSEC measures and implementation of directives.
