Corruption as a component of non-military security understanding: Corruption as a security risk

Author deals with the analysis of corruption being the phenomenon, which now can act as a security hazard. The first part of the paper includes the definition of the economic security platform as relatively modern concept which still continues to be in a contrast with a classical perception of the security, while author connects the specification of the corruption as a security hazard with these definitions. In the second part of the paper, author defines the content of the corruption term and specifies the corruption as an activity. The paper also includes the analysis of causes and consequences of the corruption for the reference objects' security in the final part, authors specifies an assessment of implications of the corruption for security environment and formulates the general suggestions how to manage this issue. The aim of the paper is to find an appropriate theoretical definition of the corruption, to highlight its actual causes and draw attention to the fact that such non-military phenomenon occurring in the political and economic environment can also considerably infringe the security and stability
