摘要
The objective is to deepen the knowledge of academic work in the universities of Mexico in two scenarios. Firstly, trends in science production processes are analyzed in relation to their content and material support, cadence, and relational and discursive aspects. Secondly, we observe the variations in the social scenario where this peculiar "work force" is reproduced, that is, the rearrangements in the domestic daily life. As a result, the dynamics and tensions in the two environments (productive and reproductive) stand out. Both are key data to show the occupational degradation that marks the academic ethos. The findings are intended to be a theoretical and transdisciplinary contribution, although Political Economy provides the conceptual floor that serves as a gateway. The methodology is based on a triangulation of secondary sources (documentary, virtual and news repositories) and the participant observation exercise for the collection of quantitative and qualitative inputs.
