A Time-Domain RBF Meshless Method for Electromagnetic Transient Analysis

摘要
We investigate the effect of different electromagnetic properties on the efficiency of the simulation with meshless methods, and the impact of the node distribution on the choice of the best soft source for excitation. As a test case, a standard rectangular waveguide BJ-100 filled with uniform air and filled with periodic dielectric permittivity are simulated using the two-dimensional explicit Meshless Radial Basis Function method (RBF) in the global support domain. The approach is based on combination of the RBF Meshless method and the Leapfrog time stepping scheme for the FDTD method. The numerical results show that the proposed method provides an accurate solution for transient electromagnetic problems.
