摘要
This document presents a comprehensive review of the literature regarding strategies, technology, and the impact on business organizations of implementing e-business information technology. Knowledge of these three areas will benefit a manager who is considering e-business by improving the understanding of why (strategy), what (technology), and how (implementation process) to implement e-business technology. The first section discusses a framework for considering potential e-business strategic benefits to the company to aid in the process of deciding whether or not to adopt the new technology. The second section describes the various technology options available for e-business including e-commerce. The third section discusses the impact on the organization of implementing e-business technology. The final sections summarize the items associated with successful implementation of e-business technology. It seems apparent from the literature that the decision to implement an e-business model, the selection of the appropriate technology, and the implementation process must all carefully be managed to increase the probability of success of the company achieving a strategic and economic advantage.
