STUDY ALLELOPATHIC EFFECTS OF METHANOL EXTRACTS OF ROOT AND STEM OF Caryocar brasiliense Camb. (PEQUI)

摘要
The methanolic stem and root's extracts were tested in order to certificate their herbicide potential in germination test, which analyzed germination rate, stem and root's length of Panicum maximum weeds. It was observed that the both extracts, of stem and root. The both extract presented herbicide potentials and the root's extract were better than stem's extract. The hexanic fraction and the subfractions 8, 11 e 13 ( extracted from acetate/methanol 7: 3) also presented inhibition. The recognition of secondary metabolites' tests showed the presence of alkaloids, volatile coumarins, flavonoids and condensed tannins in the hexanic fraction and 8, 11 e 13 subfractions, respectively. In all of them, it was found saponins too. The herbicide activity of root and stem extracts, their fractions and subfractions were associated of synergy phenomenon among the compounds were there.
