Square-wave stripping voltammetry of uranium(VI) at the glassy carbon electrode. Application to some industrial samples

摘要
A new method for trace uranium, based on the adsorptive accumulation of the chelate compound formed between U(V1) and [4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piprazine ethane sulfonic acid] on glassy carbon electrode is described. The optimum conditions for the complex formation were: 0.02 M HClO4, pH 4.0, accumulation potential + 0.1 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), frequency 15 Hz and SW amplitude 25 mV. Under these conditions, it was easy to determine the metal ion in a concentration range as low as 1 x 10(-9) M. The effect of possible interfering metal ions, e.g., Cu(II), Fe(III), Al(III), Mg(II), etc. has been tested. Application of the method for the determination of the metal ion in some industrial samples has been successfully done.
