摘要
If steel profiles with tubular sections are used as columns or beams, they can be restrained into foundations or walls made of reinforced concrete. These connections generally act like restraints that require a sufficient length. In the following, profiles with tubular sections restrained in reinforced concrete constructions are investigated and load-bearing capacity verifications are treated in consideration of the restraining length and concrete compressive stresses in the restraint area, as well as verifications at the relevant points of the profiles. As a supplement to the calculation formulas, diagrams are provided that allow the determination of the restraint length. In many practical applications, the double profile diameter is sufficient as restraint length.
