摘要
The redox potentials of ferrocene and pentamethylferrocene are correlated with the physicochemical properties of solvents using linear multiparameter equations. Of greatest significance is the specific solvating ability of the solvents. This approach is inapplicable to decamethylferrocene because of its more complicated mechanism of solvation.
