摘要
Advances in microsystems integration are enabling the development of new biological and medical devices. Beyond the multifunctional integration on a single chip of sensors, actuators, signal processing and wireless communications; microfluidic implementation to microelectronics opens the door to the elaboration of innovative and complex Lab-On-a-Chip. Various applications are targeted to allow personalized medicine with early diagnostic and therapeutic applications, as well as the monitoring of the living. CMOS and microfluidic platforms convergence will then successfully make the transition to hand-held portable, low-cost point-of-care devices.
