Let B-5((3)) (n) denote the number of partition triples with 5-cores. In this short note, we prove a Ramanujan-type congruence modulo 5(alpha) (alpha >= 1) for B-5((3)) (n) by using recurrence relations for the coefficients of B-5((3)) (n).
