Programming involves many skills and processes so that programming is considered difficult to learn. This is also based on a preliminary study by distributing questionnaires to 46 students in Informatics department of Syiah Kuala University. Most of respondents agree that introductory programming course is difficult and the difficulty lies in problem analysis and problem-solving logic also lack of learning media in Indonesian. Based on the preliminary study, this research will focus on the development of an e-learning media for introductory programming which has learning materials presented in multimedia, examples of problems and accompanied by exercise. The learning media will be designed as an interactive web-based e-learning. The finished application is called MARKAS C. This application consists of basic C programming materials namely: variables and data types, conditional statements, loops, arrays and pointers in the form of video, as well as examples of problems and exercises. The example and exercise are shown in interactive programming console that is divided to coding part and output part. The application quality is then analyzed by WebQual method using 5-scale scoring system, 1-5 (very unsatisfied - very satisfied). The analysis was conducted by distributing questionnaires to anonymous and random 72 Informatics students who have taken programming courses. The result is that respondents are satisfied with the quality of application for each category of WebQual (usability, information quality and service interaction). It is proved by the average value of respondents' answers for each category, respectively: 4.167,4,178 and 4,074 of scale 5. The overall average value for three categories is 4,154 so it can be concluded that the respondents were satisfied with the MARKAS C application as an e-learning media for introductory programming (C programming).
