摘要
Full-field strain and heat source measurement were used concurrently to investigate in-situ the propagation of Luders band in a medium Mn transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) steel. The local strain in the Luders band was provided by the full-field strain measurement while the heat source in the Luders band was estimated from temperature field. Martensitic transformation in the Luders band is studied in situ for the first time based on energy balance analysis. The combination of full-field strain and heat source measurement provides a novel and effective means to investigate in-situ the mechanism of Luders band associated with martensitic transformation.
