CULTURAL DIMENSIONS IN LEARNING ROMANIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM

摘要
The paper aims is to show how the cultural dimensions and using technologies in the classroom can enhance language learning. Professors realized that successfully language learning during the earning process is better if students are motivated to understand the cultural perception and history of Romania. Students of Romanian as a foreign language at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, by using new technologies for elearning, have opportunity to present the most interesting things about culture, history, sports, music of Romania by using various web tools, video projects, movies, presentations, etc. Students are encouraged to decide for themselves how they will present their observations to other students on public presentation. The whole process was monitored five months. Students motivation and interest for learning language was increasing. Freedom to choose the way and to use tools familiar with, encouraged the students. The results of this study showed that most popular tools are Web 2.0 (social networking sites, blogs, wilds, folksonomies, video sharing sites, hosted services, web applications, and mashups). This is one of way to help to proffesors to easily integrate technology into language class.Just like students in the general population, students at Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sadn vary greatly as individuals. Some programs require extended students' depth of knowledge in the content areas. Therefore, professors conducted research about the reasons for choosing of a specific program or tools.
