e-Government information quality (e-GIQ) framework

e-Government can be employed as a tool for improving government administration and public services. To become a competitive advantaged e-Government, the quality of its information and knowledge must be considered. Such a quality can be measured by the concepts of consistency, completeness, feasibility, accuracy, relevancy, and timeliness. However, the assessment of a required e-Government Information Quality (e-GIQ) is not a simple task. This paper therefore illustrates the framework of e-GIQ, which is used to assess the quality of e-Government information. This framework is composed of four components: content, representation, technology, and stakeholder. The benefits of using e-GIQ are also addressed.
