摘要：

This paper presents the scope and objectives of a European project aiming at understanding the origin, nature and impact of uncertainties on the results of risk assessment. The exercise has been designed in a modular way, addressing the problem in both the qualitative and quantitative phase, and specially designed case studies provide insights in the details of the risk assessment. procedure. Since the project is un-going, only insights from preliminary results are described here.
