Temperature dependence of sound velocity and self-diffusion coefficient in liquid alkali metals: a hard-sphere description

摘要
In this paper we report comparison between theoretical and experimental results of the temperature dependence of sound velocity and self-diffusion coefficient in liquid alkali metals up to elevated temperatures of approximately 1300 K above the melting point. Agreement between theory and experiment, for both the sound velocity and the self-diffusion coefficient, is very good if the temperature dependence of a hard-sphere diameter is properly taken into account.
