Methodology for the optimization of work pieces for additive manufacturing by 3D printing

摘要
This work shows the initial results obtained from a work developed as part of a doctoral thesis focused on the optimization of 3D printing pieces. By using the software Grasshopper, included in Rhinoceros, two optimization methodologies were developed. One with only one optimization solver, and the other one considering more than one solver simultaneously. This work shows the main criteria applied in the design of this methodologies and the initial results obtained. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
