The paper discusses the problems of energy conservation as the element of many European Union initiatives and the actions in the range of energy and the climate change. It represents national, European and world institutions undertaking the problems of the energy economy of and basic documents, plans and the realization of the European Union' actions and also energy effectiveness in Poland.
