摘要：
This study discusses the problem of social and economic development in the European Union and a very important element of this growth, which is energy supply. Energy sector based on renewable energy sources is a leading and promising technology of fighting global warming, one of the most serious challenges to development of contemporary civilization. The article presents the assessment of the effects of previous activities in terms of enhanced utilization of energy from renewable sources. Renewable energy technology is deemed to be the cleanest and the most economically efficient energy technologies.
