Vehicle path-following with a GPS-aided inertial navigation system

摘要
This article describes a methodology to guide a passenger car along a predefined path in order to perform drive tests. A feedback/feedforward control scheme for this path-following problem is described. The controller is based on measurements which are provided by a GPS aided navigation system. Thereby, problems arise in course of the implementation of such a high-precision navigation system due to the realtime demands. Simulation results for a test manoeuvre illustrate the performance of the developed control scheme.
