摘要
The paper discusses the application of finite element method in research of magnetic field of induction motor having rotor cage asymmetry. Several quantities (magnetic vector potential, flux density, forces, torque, rotor and stator currents, mutual and leakage indctances) can be determined very precisely. This enables the study of increasing anomaly in magnetic field distribution in the cross-section of induction motor due to increasing broken rotor bars which results as a degradation of steady-state and dynamic performance of induction motor.
