The viscosity of Bi2O3-B2O3-SiO2 glasses and melts

摘要
The viscosity-temperature relationships of Bi2O3-B2O3-SiO2 glasses and melts at molar ratio [B2O3]/[SiO2]=1 and 3 were experimentally determined in the temperature range close to operational glass transition temperature at log eta (Pas)=10-12. We have found that the viscosity increases on decrease of Bi2O3 and SiO2 contents which conforms to early data on viscosity of this system at higher temperatures. Glass transition temperatures were experimentally determined using thermal expansion (dilatometry) method. Experimental data obtained were then analysed using the generalised lattice theory of associated solutions which enabled quantitative assessment of bond strengths in this system at 1200 K.
