摘要
The work summarizes on the basis of some surveys which were executed among businessmen in the Czech Republic the most problematic attributes of the so-called "business environment", which include foremost the tax load, the constant changes in the tax system and confusion of the tax law system, high administrative and financial load of work, the unavailability of public contract due to corruption, and more. It is possible to document that the economic setting of local environment is not fundamentally different or inadequate to economic strength of the Czech economy in comparison with the neighbouring countries or with competing countries in the European Union. Low quality of business environment as it is felt by the business community is brought about the poor quality of the regulatory environment, high costs of regulation and frequent state when regulation is applied very hard or without a clear purpose or unevenly.
