Optical properties of yttrium fluoride films in the IR region

摘要：
This paper presents the results of measurements of the refractive index and the absorption coefficient of vacuum-deposited yttrium fluoride films in the wavelength range from 2 to 12 mu m. The adhesion strength and microhardness of the test samples were measured. The possibility of using yttrium fluoride films in multilayer interference coatings is discussed.
