摘要
This paper discusses design and simulation results of the Hybrid Proportional Integral (PI) controller for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driving a solar water pumping systemill. The proportional Integral (PI) controller is the most commonly used controller for vector control of the ac motor. The main disadvantages of PI controller are high starting overshoot, sensitivity to controller gains, and sluggish response to sudden disturbances. This paper uses a Hybrid PI controller which is a combined form of the PI controller and fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The FLC has advantages over conventional controllers, such as cheaper to develop, covering a wider range of operating conditions, and more readily customizable in natural language terms. So the proposed controller has combined advantages of FLC and PI. In the proposed method, FLC processes the speed error and the output is given to the PI for controlling the speed. A solar photovoltaic array is used to convert solar energy to electrical energy and this energy is used to rotate the PMSM to pump water. A 3 phi voltage source Inverter (VSI) is used to rotate the PMSM and a boost converter are used to track the solar PV array's maximum power point using a P&O algorithm. The software used is MATLAB/Simulink.
