摘要：

The coastal cliffs of Scarborough, UK which are approximately 5km in length, were protected by seawalls around 100 years ago. However, they continue to be affected by a range of landslide problems, most notably the: recent Holbeck hall landslide in 1993 which led to the destruction of a large hotel.. This paper describes how a combination of geomorphological mapping, structural inspection and historical records have provided a preliminary indication of the landslide risk on the Scarborough urban coastline, UK.
