摘要：
This paper describes how a combination of geomorphological mapping historical records and long-term rainfall analysis has provided a tool for assessing the likelihood of significant ground movement in different parts of the Isle of Wight Undercliff, UK. The simple slope process model forms the basis for a pragmatic approach to landslide forecasting currently in use by the local authority.
