Smart tourism is a kind of development trend of the modern tourism industry which makes consumer behaviors of tourists change a lot. To meet the demands of more consumers, tourism formats constant innovation in the context of smart tourism. The sightseeing-type tourism products are unable to satisfy tourists' personalized needs. New tourism format is the form that tourism market caters for people constantly changing consumer demands, which integrates some other industries with the characteristics of diversity, virtualization and combination. This paper discusses the characteristics and trends of new tourism formats and provides some methods to optimize the industry structure in the context of smart tourism.
