摘要
With advancement of internet, cloud storage and interface technology, e-learning has become prevalent in education as an interactive approach for teaching and learning. This paper presents a method of developing online courseware or MOOC for the subject 'Microprocessor System' which consists of software and hardware elements. As the courseware is deployed online, it is aimed to help students in understanding the topics and encouraging other people to learn the course in self-paced learning. Besides, it is hoped that it will assist lecturers in teaching and also overcome the problem of time constraints in completing the syllabus. The online courseware provides two-way communication including assessment, practical works and live broadcasting. OpenLearning platform is used to deploy MOOC and contains a learning management system. The results of the survey answered by students regarding MOOC usage and grade achievement indicate that MOOC is beneficial in the teaching and learning process.
