Bioenergy Development Strategy in Yunnan Province

Biomass energy is one of the most important energy forms in the future human society. Biomass energy industry plays a very important role in assuring energy security, protecting environment and promoting economic development. There are many favorable conditions and also good industrial basis for biomass energy industry development in Yunnan Province. To speed up the development of biomass industry in Yunnan Province, the following measures should be taken: establishing development system guided by government and market together, carrying out biomass resource investigation and development plan, putting more effort on international cooperation and the talent development, and developing different forms of biomass energy industry according to the local conditions.
