Relationship between IoT and Economic Growth: From an Investment Perspective

摘要：
As a representative of the development and application of information and communication technology (JOT), the Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted world attention. However, the effect of IoT on economic growth has not been fully explored. This paper analyzes this issue from the perspective of ICT investment. After analyzing the data of eight representative provinces from 1996 to 2008, we find out that the effect of ICT investment on economic growth is limited and the levels of telecommunications infrastructure and education are key, factors influencing the effect. Thus it's necessary to further improve the telecommunications infrastructure and enhance related education and training to promote the effect of IoT on economic growth.
