Electron-ion collision operator in strong electromagnetic fields

摘要
The pair electron-ion collisions operator in strong electromagnetic fields is considered. In strong EM fields, the collision operator is derived allowing for the complex stochastic particle dynamics at the scattering. The resulting expression can be conditionally separated into the diffusion part (having a Landau-like operator form) and the fast-particle source. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2011
