摘要
Many attempts have been made to save the power consumed by the Main Compressors of Refrigeration Plants. This paper deals with the adoption of a special technique based on the power regeneration by internal cycles to reduce the Vapour Compression Refrigeration Plant Power. In the paper, the possibility to optimize a cooling plant layout leading to an expected power decrement of some 23 - 26% is demonstrated. Car Engine Turbocharger Technology has been adopted to produce an innovative Compressor Expander Group (CEG). Experiments on an ad hoc built Test Bench have shown the positive response of the system and the possibility of development of an innovative technology regarding the CEG. (C) 2015 The Authors.
