The optimization and realization of the driving circuit of SLD for fiber-optic gyroscope

摘要
For the purpose of improving precision and practicability of fiber optic gyroscope(FOG),and considering the characteristics of the FOG; a optimized and precise temperature control circuit of driving circuit of SLD was designed, and Electromagnetic interference (EMI) was analyzed. The high efficiency, DC/DC step-down switching regulator MAX1951 was used to convert the +5V to +2.5V power supply, which was used as the power supply of the cooler And it made the ATC circuit low-power-consumption, high efficiency and precise. The maximum efficiency of the driving circuit was improved nearly 53% by lower the power supply. The testing results indicated that the accuracy of the temperature control of the low-power-consumption and high precision driving circuit is better than 0.01% at room temperature.
