A technique for optimal task distribution in a multiprocessor computing system based on ii maximum criterion imposed on the mean reliability of the results of computations is presented The underlying idea is based on concentrating resources to accomplish the most important tasks at the expense of the less important tasks. By means of the technique, it becomes possible to solve the allocation problem while the system is in operation.
