Norquay bulks up, adds kilo-scale lab

Norquay Technologies (Chester, PA) has invested an additional $60,000 in a dual 30-liter kilo lab-scale reactor system, with a view to increase its contract manufacturing capacity by 40%. The kilo lab-scale reactor system will work on contracts related to pharmaceutical intermediate and nonpharmaceutical catalyst. The two reactors allow the Norquay Technologies to efficiently manufacture 6-liter quantities in a process that can be scaled up to pilot- and commercial-scale production. About 30% of the firm's work is in pharmaceuticles while the over all sales of privately held Norquay are less than $10 million.
