ANALYSIS OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA'S LEGAL FRAMEWORK ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: THE CASE OF FORESTS

The purpose of the following work is to analyze in general the law of Equatorial Guinea and, in particular, to determine the nature and scope of forest protection norms in the national legal system. In this context it was necessary to identify the model chosen for the protection of the legal good of the environment and to review the legislative technique used by the legislator of Equatorial Guinea. With regard to the protection of forests, the typology of the norms used is analyzed. In short, the aim is to prepare a written report that can serve as a reference level for future research on the subject and for anyone seeking information related to the protection and conservation of forests in Equatorial Guinea. The methodology used for the elaboration of the work has been the scientific research of the bibliography using the empirical scientific method and the analysis of legal documents and work reports, as well as the doctrine on the subject. It is hoped that this analysis will contribute to Equatorial Guinea achieving a higher level of protection of its forests, adapted to the guidelines, legal rules and policies of international cooperation in the protection of the environment in general and forests in particular.
