摘要
In the last five years, the HR-MAS NMR technique has been widely used to explore biological tissues from animals and plants. Numerous advantages attributed to HR-MAS have motivated its use in the metabolomic field, in particular for human pathological biopsies. However, a practical evaluation of HR-MAS on a wide experimental range (in vivo animals, fresh or freezing tissues) reveals logistic, sanitary, and analytical disadvantages. The main drawback concerns the high difficulty to perform correct metabolite quantitation. Thus, for some studies, the NMR analysis of tissue extract was preferred.
