摘要
The theoretical model of LES for hypersonic turbulent flows was deduced whose concept is more scientific and accurate. The governing equations for LES are obtained by filtering the N-S equations with standard (non-Favre filtering) spatial filter function, a nonlinear sub-grid scale(SGS) model is developed from the Caylay-Hamilton theory. It is shown to be the nonlinearly extension of the traditional compressible model such as traditional dynamic Smagorinsky model. The approach is closer to the physics of the problem, because the information of the density is not lost. The parameter of model is dynamically computed from the local physical variable by the least square method. The method is applied to the numerical simulation of the hypersonic flow over complex configuration such as a double-ellipsoid. Comparing with the existent experimental and numerical results indicates that those models can be applied to the numerical simulations of aerodynamics/aerothermodynamics for hypersonic turbulent flows.
