Synthesis of oxadiazolylindole derivatives and their antiinflammatory activity

摘要：
Substituted indole-2-carboxylates (1) were reacted with hydrazine hydrate to furnish corresponding indole-2-carboxyhydrazides (2). The hydrazides 2 when allowed to react with CS, in the presence of KOH gave respective 2-(5 ' -thioxo-1 ' ,3 ' ,4 ' -oxadiazol-2 ' -yl) indoles (3) which undergo Mannich reaction with amines in presence of formaldehyde to yield 4. Synthesized compounds were screened for their antiinflammatory activity.
